About the University
The University has four Faculties in the fields of social sciences, medical and health, humanities and natural sciences.
With four Faculties combined and resonating among each other, we provide a forum where students can receive a more advanced education, and greater opportunities for research and extracurricular activities.
We aim for each student to grasp their dreams and goals and create bright future like a rainbow.
Objectives of the University (Article 1 of the Regulations for Kyoto Gakuen University)
The objectives of the University are to develop people who can think autonomously and act on a global scale by providing education and research from a perspective of broad knowledge and depth of specialized sciences under the Fundamental Act of Education and School Education Act, based on the philosophy of the University’s foundation.
Education Objective: Development of Human Ability
The University determined the education objective of “development of human ability,” based on “Personnel Needs Research,” independently conducted by the University in order to realize the education objectives of the University (developing people who can think autonomously and act on a global scale) in the present day situations.
“Human ability” here refers to “six basic abilities required by society,” specifically, “ability to communicate, ability to cooperate, ability to adapt, ability to act, ability to identify issues and challenges, and ability to think logically.”
