Introduction
The library collection at Kyoto Gakuen University consists of approximately 360,000 volumes, ranging from reference materials to technical works and professional journals, and includes a magazine collection of about 1,500 titles, both in Japanese and other languages, in addition to about the 15 daily newspapers found in the reading room. The collection is especially strong in economic fields both in Japanese and foreign languages. Using the computerized catalogue systems, students can search for resource materials in the collection. The library staff provides a reference service to assist students in finding necessary materials as well as a photocopy service and links to other university libraries.
A video library, with 10 moniters and video players, is located on the second floor. The video collection contains over 5,000 titles on a wide variety of subjects.
Checking out materials
Students are allowed to check out 5 volumes for a period of two weeks. Present your library card when checking out materials. Although there is no fine for late materials, students will not be allowed to check out additional materials if books are overdue.

Printed handouts of a three-month schedule (in Japanese) of library hours are in the pamphlet rack located at the library exit. Generally, library hours are as follows: 9am - 7pm Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm Saturdays, Closed Sundays & Holidays.
