Become professionals utilizing the knowledge of sports.

Deepen understanding of practical study of health and sports, with a view to such fields as public health, medicine and welfare.

How joints and muscles, nerves and blood work and operate in conjunction with each other? In this Department, you can study broadly from the basics of mechanism of the body to instructions on exercise based on preventive medicine and health science or sport as an industry. Students conduct experiments and practices, making excellent use of tools capturing movements of human beings in 3D and deepen practical understanding of health and sports from an initial level. Now the ratio of Japanese exercising once or more a week is about 47.5%, and three times a week at 24.4%. This ratio is lower than that of Nordic countries and Canada, however, we are sure this figure will increase in the future. Please make the great step forward from here to “people who can make sports closer” strongly needed by society.
