Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences has established three departments where students can professionally study health and medicine, developing the knowledge, skills and mind necessary for assuming a leadership role in the fields of medicine, welfare and sports. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences offer courses for national examination and certification throughout the four years, including special support in the acquisition of the qualification for the nurse national examination, speech therapist national examination, teacher’s license and health fitness instructor certification.

Department of Nursing

The Department of Nursing program focuses on caring for the human body and mind to ensure long-lasting health. Under the watchful eye of experienced medical practitioners, students learn the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for nurses to succeed in the field. Through extensive career training, students are able to map out their professional options.

Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences and Disorders

The Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences and Disorders provides all the skills and knowledge necessary to become a specialist in human speech, such as the histology and embryology of the larynx as well as an understanding of deafness in children, dysarthria, dementia, memory impairment, hearing with implants and dysphagia. Students will also acquire interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in the field of healthcare.

Department of Health and Sports Sciences

The Department of Health and Sports Sciences provides a systematic curriculum dealing with all aspects of health and sports science. Using a variety of sports facilities, students will develop the practical skills necessary to provide health guidance to future clients and patients. This program offers three study courses that students can choose from according to their future objectives: education, science, and management. Each of these allow students to specialize in their area of interest, whether those lie in early childhood education, personal training or managing a practice.
